In this post i am going to tell you about the first official volleyball game.
So, let’s rewind to July 7, 1896. The first official game of volleyball was played in Holyoke, Massachusetts. William G. Morgan, the inventor of the sport, gathered a small group of players at the YMCA.
The game was played using a net that was set up at a height of about 6 feet 6 inches. The objective? To hit a ball over the net and land it on the opponent's side!
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and curiosity, as this new sport was unlike anything anyone had played before. The players had a blast, and the game quickly gained traction among the attendees.
And that is how the first volleyball game was.
